This policy explains what data Indiecator collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Indiecator application and website.
What we collect
Account data: your name, email, and authentication identifiers (via our auth provider). Connected revenue data: billing information we read from sources you authorize — customers, subscriptions, invoices, and charges — used to compute your metrics. Usage data: basic logs and diagnostics needed to operate and secure the Service.
How we use it
We use your data to provide the Service: to ingest and process your connected revenue data, compute and display metrics, generate reports and exports, and share with people you explicitly authorize. We use account and usage data to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.
Third-party processors
We rely on a small set of processors to run the Service, including our cloud/database host, authentication provider, payment processor, and transactional email provider. They process data on our behalf under their own security commitments. Revenue sources such as Stripe and Shopify are connected by you and governed by their own terms; we request read-only access.
Security
We protect data in transit and at rest, encrypt stored third-party credentials, and scope access so each account’s data is isolated. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat billing and customer data as sensitive and design accordingly.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can disconnect a revenue source or delete your account, after which we remove associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required. Contact us to request access to or deletion of your personal data.
Your choices
You can update your account details, disconnect revenue sources, control who you share with, and delete your account. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights over your personal data; email us to exercise them.
