Terms of Service
Last updated: July 20, 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of Indiecator (“the Service”), a financial analytics product operated by Indiecator. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Indiecator connects to third-party revenue sources you authorize (such as Stripe and Shopify) to read your billing data and present financial metrics, reports, and exports. We request read-only access to connected accounts and do not modify data in those accounts.
2. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be authorized to connect any revenue source you add.
3. Plans, trials, and billing
Indiecator may offer free and paid plans. If you purchase a paid subscription, the price and billing interval will be shown before checkout. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual term until cancelled. You may cancel before renewal; access continues through the current paid period. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
Indiecator is offered on a per-business basis with an account-level free trial that begins at signup. Fees are charged through our payment processor.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service: no attempting to breach security or access data that is not yours, no reverse-engineering except as permitted by law, no reselling the Service without authorization, and no use that violates applicable law or the terms of a connected provider.
5. Your data
You retain ownership of your data. You grant us the rights necessary to operate the Service — to ingest, process, store, and display your connected data back to you and to people you explicitly share with. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and accurate but provide it “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change or discontinue features, and we may update these terms; material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
7. Limitation of liability
Indiecator provides analytics to inform your decisions; it is not accounting, tax, or investment advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Indiecator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, liability limits) survive.
